Intermittant issues with RSH trying to get Maxsessions

We are experiencing intermittant issues with RSH failures on job startup. We are running UDB EEE on a SP cluster under AIX 4.3. It seems that on startup the job issues an RSH to see what is already running on the box. It is this RSH call that is failing. It seems to jump around between the nodes and doesn't seem to have a predictable pattern. Any one else seen this, fixed this? Thanks much.

Does the user of PX have permission to execute RSH on all of the nodes?

The frustrating thing about this is that it is intermittant. For example we ran with an ID and got the error, five minutes later with no system changes and it runs, next day it fails again. Some times it is on one node and some times another it doesn't seem to consistently fail on any particular node or twice in a row on any node.
