Merging Tools and the DSX

A few hours ago I sent off the August
newsletter for the DSX to all the members of Tools4DataStage
(unless, of course, you've requested to not receive
the newsletter). As this rendition of the newsletter
in particular has information that is pertinent to the
Tools community, I thought it prudent to give you the
proverbial 'heads up'. We're
planning on merging Tools4DataStage and DataStageXchange
into one community to be hosted at DSXchange.com.
You can read all about it in the article "Mergers
Large and Small". We've set up a poll
and a thread at the DSX for you to respond. Your
opinion is important!

Hi,

The DSXchange forums might be the best thing since sliced bread, but with nary a privacy policy in sight, I can't register til I know what will be done with the (copious) personal details required.

Thanks.

Good point. As one of the original contributors to DSX (and T4DS) and as a resident of Australia (and thus aware of the rather unique laws we have on privacy) I will assure you that my details have not been on-sold by the folks at DCS-Strategies who host these sites.
At the same time, it's a great idea to have the new site include a "proper" privacy policy. Why not post the URLs of a couple of your favourite privacy policy statements that they can use as prototypes?
