i have set some parameters in my datastage administrator as Userdefined environment variable.
Do i need to have this again declared in my job's properties as a parameter or can i access it directly as #$varname#, where varname is the variable declared in the administrator.
if i have to declare it as a part of my job properties then consider the case where i have overridden the default in the job, but when i run through my sequencer i want the job to take the value present in the administrator only and not the one that i have overridden.
what is the concept of $ENV as mentioned in the Admin PDF Document that comes with datastage installation.
FYI i have datastage version 6.0 running in a UNIX machine and my client is Windows.
please help me out on this issue.
