I tried login on to datastage designer and here is the error i got.

INTERNAL ERROR: (40033)-- FAILED TO ITERATE THROUGH ALL STAGE OBJECTS.

This tool is new to us. Help.

Where can i also check out Error codes?

This message advises that Designer's agent process on the server has opened the job but has failed to generate a list of all the stages in that job. This, in turn, suggests that the index on DS_JOBOBJECTS may have become out-of-date or otherwise corrupted.
Running "Cleanup project" from the Administrator will rebuild all indexing in the repository. This requires exclusive access to the project.
You could also try using the Command window in the Administrator client, to execute the following command:
DS.REINDEX DS_JOBOBJECTS
This will rebuild just the indexing on the DS_JOBOBJECTS table. It requires that no job designs are open (from Designer or Manager).
