Report Assistant

Hi Everybody,

In the Report Assistant option under Manager we can
produce a report, we can print it, we can can do a print
preview, but is there a way to capture the report and
save it in a file?

When you open the doc_tool.mdb hold down the shift key. This will give you the full Access menu. If you go to the Reports tab then DSJobs is the report you want. Double click on it. It will preview it. You need to customize your menu and add print preview menu so you can see the Word option. You publish it to Word. Within Microsoft Word you can then save as.

If you need to limit this report to one job then you need to modify the query DSJobListing.

Even if you don't break out of the startup macro in Doc_Tool.mdb, you can select only the job on which you want to report, deselect everything else, then choose either the Print Preview tool or the Print tool.
(You must have at least a default printer defined for either of these to work.) [;)]
