XML as input

Hi

We are running DS 5.2 on Solaris 2.8, one request that we had was to read an XML file and load that to Oracle tables. Does Data Stage provide this functionality ?
If so is that an add-on option ?

Has anyone else had experience loading XML data ?
Please advise.

Hi,

You need to add XML Pack that comes with the CD. Once you installed you will see Two Plug-Ins(XML Reader and XML Writer).

An OK reply as far as it went, you do need to install the XML PACK.
With it, on the DataStage CD, is its manual, in which you will find all you need to know about how to link to style sheets and similar, so that sense can be made of the tags in your input!
