DataStage CPU Count

Greetings,

What does the CPU count for the Datastage server really imply. What if the Hardware that I'm using doesn't have as many CPU's as specified in the DataStage

Kindly let me know your thoughts.

Hi,
If your are refering to CPU count you read from DS Administrator, it refers to your license. It is the number of processors you are allowed to use with DS. If your hardware is below or equal it will work fine.

Some of you may be wondering why you're not seeing this.
Per-CPU licensing is another of those things that was introduced with release 6.0 of DataStage. It's in the readme file for DS 6.0 (we ALL read those, don't we?!) [:D]
