Multiple Instances

Post by luca »

Hi!
Is it possible to determine, apart from by generating an error trying to attach a job whose name includes an invocation ID, whether a job has its "Allow Multiple Instances" property set? Preferably without having to peer under the covers of the DataStage repository.
I want to avoid errors caused by attaching a single-instance job with a name that includes an invocation ID.
Thanks for your answers.

It definitely can be done by "peering under the covers"; I have created a function for this purpose.
As far as I know there is no such function available within DataStage itself. I would be happy to be proven wrong.
