Oracle 9i Plugin

Greetings,
We are using DataStage 5.2 on Unix and this doesn't have the Oracle 9i Plugin and we also have DataStage 6 which has but the Oracle 9i Plugin but couldn't use that bcoz of the lack of NLS Support.
Now, what are disadvantages of using ORAOCI8 plugin to connect Oracle 9i database.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

There are none that I am aware of. I'm guessing the 9i plugin will grow in capability as the 6.x product matures, but right now it seems to be a carbon copy of the 8i plugin. Anyone have any insight into this?
