Hash File Parameters

Post by msteen2 »

I know there is a utility to output the command to create
a hash file based on it's characteristics.
Rather than try to come up with the right syntax, etc on my own
could someone contact me because I can't seem to locate it

thanks,

Do you mean Ray's Super Spiffy Hashed File Calculator? <g> It's on the DataStage cd, under Utilities/Unsupported/HFC. Or at least it is on my 5.2r1 cd.

Much of what is in HFC is now in the hashed file stage itself.
When you check the Create File check box the Options>> button becomes enabled; clicking this allows you to set values for the various tuning parameters.
The hashed file stage does not, however (at release 5.2) actually perform sizing calculations, which HFC does.
