Ramesh,
It will be much easier if u can use the following:
check for date null with IsNull ,otherwise yr RDBMS may cause null voilation and refuse to load.
Then u use built in date transforms which are available under help -> just type in transforms and date as key word.
iconv and oconv were never my favourites.
u can also use substrings to pad and convert ..
