You really should be on the latest release of Version Control which can be downloaded from www.tools4datastage.com.

Ok Rick -

We downloaded the new version 2.5.8, installed it and attached to the project. However the results are exactly like the earlier version, as Blain stated at the beginning of this thread.

To use custom folders try the following steps:

1. Within Version Control, use the "Custom Folder" dialog to assign a new custom folder. This should be a new folder that does not yet exist in the project (either the Version project or the development project).

2. Press the "Initialize" button to attach to the development project. After the connection has taken place successfully (and all the components from that project have been loaded) you can click cancel to get back to the main screen.

3. Connect to the development project (via telnet, etc.) and make sure the folder/directory was created. (It should have been.) Place a couple ASCII/text files in this directory to test.

4. In Version Control press the "Initialize" button to re-attach to the development project. When all of the components load, you should find your custom folder items in this list.

Hopefully this should work successfully for you.

Thank you very much, that seems to solved the problem. So far this seems VERY usuable.
