Hi,
I have setup the connection to a sql server database but somehow I am not able to view and extract the Chinese characters properly.
The database collation on sql server is set to Chinese_PRC_CI_AS , but when I see the properties of the connection to server it self it states SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS. Please advise is the database collation the leading or the server connection collation? I have tried NLS MS936, for all the chinese characters I only see questionmarks like ? ? ? ? ? ? etc.
Thanks

Well done.
Just be aware that there are two sets of Chinese characters (simplified and traditional), and they use different code pages and therefore different maps. The other family of maps is BIG5.
