Usage of Account name Vs Directry path for hashed files

Post by sumesh.abraham »

Hi all,

I am currently analyzing a set of existing Server jobs. I found that the in the hashed file stage, hashed files are created using account name and not the Directory path. I am interested in knowing which is the best option of these 2 and the reasons for that and the advantages of one over other.

Appreciate your help on this.

I've always used "pathed" hashed files which allows you to move them out of the projects, ideally completely out of the partition where DataStage is installed. Filling your DS partition is a Very Bad Thing.
