we have observed a strange behavior where a hash file is not updated properly. Is there a reason why a hash file is not updated properly ?
Ex: we have a row with a key and the other atribute in the row is changed but for some reason, it is not updated in the hash file..does any body have any idea why it happens and what should we do..?

Make very sure that your hashed file metadata are 100% correct. Hashed files are navigated by position of the field in the record, not by column name. Examine the Position field in the Columns grid.

This file has been in place for years..it is not changed at all..

In that case there's a problem in the logic of your job design, or errors are occurring about which you have not informed us but which would be logged.
