I have a problem using job parameters for oracle database .y job fails if i use # $variable name# for source name. It says couldn;t connect to Identifier..soMe TNS warning.. Could any one pls tell me how to use it?

Check If any value is assigned to the variable. If yes, then check if the TNS entry is available for that particular DB in your Oracle client installation directory on Datastage Server.

Could you post the exact error message and exact (using cut-and-paste) use of the parameter in your job?
