can you just tel me if any one aware of the mean of datastage is down

You have not given us enough information to be able to formulate a cogent reply. Under what circumstances does this text appear, and what (precisely) are you doing at that time?

When you say Datastage is dowm means dsrpc is not running.
Please run below command on Unix.

ps -ef |grep dsrpc

It would be great if you can send complete information on your issue.There is no point to confuse people.

What if server itself is down? or Other services like ASBagent, DSEngine or other services are not running. Even db2 agent may be not running preventing datastage from accessing unified metadata repository.

All depends of what you are trying to do and what error message you are getting. Till then its just a vague question for which there are no answers, just wild guesses. :?

The question it self is not clear and need more attention on the requirement.

I'm locking this thread as it is going nowhere and I don't really see it getting any better. The O/P can certainly open a new thread on this subject, but if so it should be much more well defined and less... pop quiz like to avoid the same fate.
