SAP BW Pack RfcReceive Error

Hi Everyone,
after several days of reading the installation guide and trial and error I am down to this final error in the SAP BW Pack when trying to read from SAP:
Failed to call RfcReceive in the function startProcessChainForExtract rc: 2
The message ID is BWPACK-E-00038.
In the SAP administrator logs, the connection attempt is failed, but the error message says its an application (websphere) specific error.
If anyone would have any ideas on where to look to resolve this, I would appreciate it.
