unable to login to datastage Server/Director/Admin

I am using Datastage 8.1 Server Edition, HP UX 11.3, client Windows XP.
I am able to connect to Web Console.
Using the same user id and password, I am not able to connect to IBM server console, Datastage Designer, Director or Administration.

It comes with error message -
failed to authenticate user against selected domain

When I open the login screen for Designer or Director,
I can select the Unix Domain name from the list box,
But when i click on Datastage Server after I enter user and password, it comes with above message and takes about one minute to come with that error message.

Hi,

I did review the various posts on this topic.
Tried various options suggested.

But none of them could make it work.
I still get the same error message.

Then best to involve your official support provider, it would seem. Curious, is this a problem for everyone or just you?

What type of security are you using ? OS, LDAP, Repository? If OS, have you successfully logged on to the system to verify the Userid and Password? I must first logon to my system as we have a requirement that you must set a password after the 1st time you logon. If your system is the same you must logon to the server and set a password before logging on thru datastage.
