stage type object ORAOCI8 not found

Hi,

We have just installed Datastage 8.1 version in new server. After installation we have imported the projects (server jobs mostly as of now) from current datastage 7.5 to new 8.1. When we tried to compile one jobs we recieve the following error.
"stage type object ORAOCI8 not found". Probably ORAOCI8 is not supported in bx version.

I need to know do we have any easy solution for this? or we have to change the data source from ORAOCI8 to ORAOCI9 manually for all jobs?

Yes, you'll need to change the jobs as you've noted and you could do it manually on the 8.x side if you like. Your other option is to find (on the 7.5.x client cdrom) the utility that will do it for you automatically. Should be somewhere under the "unsupported" folder, from what I recall, but regardless will be easy to find.

Run it in the 7.x project and then re-export/import those OCI jobs to 8.x.

there is an other option: export from DS7 and then in notepath find and replace ORAOCI8 by ORAOCI9. Import this changed file into DS8.
Worked without any error for us.

That's probably all the utility does.
