Set Active Provider Option Missing

Post by shareeman »

Hi Chaps
On the Information Server Web Console, the Directory Configuration link displays both the Information Server directory and the Websphere User registry.
Problem i have is that the Information Server directory is set as being the active provider (tick symbol by default) and there is no option to change this and set the Websphere User registry as the active provider instead

I'm able to successfully setup the local OS User registry as the global security setting in the WAS and then login using the specified OS user (after restarting the WAS).

I'm however unable to subsequently login to the Information Server Web Console despite having chosen to share the user registry.

I suspect this is due to the active provider being set to the IS directory in the IS Web console rather than WAS User Registry.

Has anyone experienced this before, I'm on Windows 2K3 using V8.1

Thanks
