DsEngine startup error

DsEngine startup error

Hi All,

we are getting below errors when issuing the uv start command.

can anybody please, have face or know the reason for this?

# /opt/IBM/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine/bin/uv -admin -start
sh: /opt/IBM/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine/dstmp.090219.105222A: cannot create
chmod: WARNING: can't access /opt/IBM/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine/dstmp.090219.105222A
/opt/IBM/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine/sample/ds.rc: /opt/IBM/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine/dstmp.090219.105222A: cannot open

Are you using the dsadm or whatever the admin id is to run the command?

Yes , we have instructed to run those command with root previliges , but not sure they (unix team) ran it with admin. so do you think the command is not ran with root previliges??

Louis were you able to resolve the issue? If yes, can you please let us know the resolution.
we have DS 7.5.2 on Solaris 10. What is your OS?
