Project Level Access in Datastage

Hi All,

Is Project Level access possible in Datastage...

We have Datastage 7.x version and we are around 25 developers.

Can Project Level access be provided to the Datastage users say if we all are divided into Three Groups...

Scenario wud be like ...Two Projects .Project1 and Project2 ....and Project1 shud be accessible by only usr1,usr2,usr3 and Project 2 by rest of the users...

Though it can't be exatcly acheived by Datastage, You can use OS permissions to do this. Create groups projectA_users, projctB_usrs and make the corresponding users part of them. for corresponding projects give permission accordingly so that only specific group can access the project. Create other group datastage and make projectA_users, projctB_usrs part of it, so that you can give common permissions where ever you wanted to do in datastage/os level.

It can be achieved exactly by DataStage. In addition to protection using separate group for each project, associate the Developer role in each project with that group. Then be careful who you put in each group.
