unable to execute 'Telnet Backup command'

Post by happyramana1 »

I am trying to backup the existng file in remote location, before sending the new file. I am using the Ftp plug in stage. I have set the following properties

Backup file - Yes
Telnet Backup commnad - mv a.log b.log
move a.log b.log

Also the file is in \ and not in any directory

Director gives the following error

error while trying to open connection for sending data to the FTP server, unable to execute 'Telnet Backup command'

The job runs fine if backup option is not specified.

Have you filled in all the Telnet Login information? It is separate from the FTP information. Also, are you certain you have Telnet access to that server? FTP access != telnet access.
