Deleting a job from designer

Post by pxraja »

While I am trying to delete a job that ran for 10 hours, in vain.
I am not able to delete it.

the message from datastage is..

Unable to delete the item
Cannot get exclusive access to log for job job_name

Can any one tell me how to delete the job
Note: when i am trying to view the log details, director window goes busy
I cannot able to view the log details even after 5 hours or more.

Possible warnings is due to SQL types used also i do know how many records are there?

any how I had developed another job with matching datatypes and its working

Unlock the job from Datastage Administrator...............then you can do further analysis.

Stop trying to view the log - apparently it contains very many entries, and is trying to do a time-sorted report. Close director entirely. If all else fails, go to Session Management in the web console for Information Server and disconnect the process associated with the job log. Then you should be able to delete the job.
