Datastage 7.5 performance in a 32 bit environment

Post by mydearsyed »

HI All,

I am using datastage 7.5.1 on a 32 bit windows 2003 Enterprise Edition. what is the maximum amt of CPU required for this.

The reason is because we are installing the same on a new Server and I have been told that the maximum capacity of Datastage on a 32 bit OS is 4 GB of RAM.

Can anyone shed some light on the same.

Regards
Syed

This is not a DataStage limitation. Windows 2003 has physical memory limitations, but the virtual memory that DataStage sees is significantly larger.

All 32 bit operating systems have that limitation on physical memory.

Some math for DSXChanger's ;)

Code: Select all

2^32 = 4,294,967,296
2^2(2^30)= 4 (2^30) = 4 GB
