Quite a lot, actually, including a major architectural change. I'm sure there are resources out there, either on IBM's official site or even in Vincent's blog that discuss that.

The question is not amenable to a reponse, as there is no single difference. There are thousands, which is why no-one here is going to even attempt to list them. The information is available from the vendor. They even have a class (DX800) called "What's new in DataStage 8.0".
