reverting back to 7.5

Post by dsx_newbie »

Is there a way to revert back from DS v8.1 to DS 7.5.1?

DS V8.1 was installed on top of DS V.7.5.1 and upgraded the jobs to DS V.8.1.

If DSv 8.1 is uninstalled the 7.5.1 jbs will be lost along with it?

You must use the backups/exports you did before upgrading.

Uninstall 8.1 completely, install 7.5.1 then import from your exports (or restore from backups).

Key to Ray's point is the use of exports made before the 8.x install. And anything done post upgrade would be lost.

But surely anyone with a modicum of sense takes a backup before upgrading! DataStage or any other software.

"Modica" would be the plural, however plurality does not enter the argument.
