Hi all,
I know that DataStage provides a feature to make a project "protected" in Administartor. I just wonder whether DataStage provides any feature to protect a category in the Designer sothat only the owner of the category can view it. Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.

It does not.
Category is only a logical construct (apart from categories for Templates), implemented as an indexed column in the pertinent Repository database tables.
