Hi,

If you have decided you want to re-install datastage on a server that already has the datastage server (the current one is not working) is there a Unix uninstall for the Datastage server? Or do you just wipe the disk drive where Datastage was and that's good enough? I searched on uninstall and only Windows topics came up. The Install guide doesn't say anything about a Unix uninstall either.

There is an uninstall.sh that ships on the server CDROM. Or you can just install over the top of the old one and it will ask you what you want to do - maintenance type stuff or a complete reinstall.

Take a look at the shell script Craig mentioned. It's complex only because it must take into account that there may be other instances of DataStage server installed on the same machine. With only one, it suffices to remove all the DataStage objects - the install directory, the hidden files in the root directory, and any projects and hashed files you may have created elsewhere in the file system. Before you do that, of course, you need to stop DataStage.
