how to comapre 2 flat file

Hi
iam getting the souce data in flat files.
i have to join those flat files on particular colums and derive the new filed for one of the flat file..
its a huge data can i use lookup for this
merge i tried but its saying that this stage can't take any input links
how can i do that in server jobs

Do a Normal lookup, It will work fine.

The Merge stage, since you actually mean 'join' rather than 'compare'.
