Mapping columns from a spread sheet

Is it possible to do a straight map of source and target columns from a spread sheet ? I have a spread sheet which has over 200 columns being mapped to some 200 columns in my target. Instead of dragging and dropping every column in the transformer, I was wondering if someone tried something to make use of the mapping in the spread sheet in an automated fashion.

Look into the Column Auto-Match property inside the transformer. Its the third icon from the right at the very top.

The column auto match was good. Wish we could do the same for similar sounding names, more like sounds like feature. Some columns are mapped to very different names in my spread sheet. The auto match feature doesnt work in that case. But Auto match did map about half the columns. A little helpful but not completely. Any other pointers ?

From what I recall, you can switch from doing a name match to a positional match. Which means if your output columns are all in the same order as the inputs that would work for you as well.

At that point, you might as well just do a 'Select All' on one side and drag them all over at once to the other side.

Without even opening the stage, right click and choose Propagate.

Within the Transformer stage you can multi-select the input columns (click on the first, shift-click on the last) and do a single drag-and-drop.

The column definitions from the spreadsheet you have, of course, previously imported into your Repository so you can Load them in the job.
