Access 7.1 server job from 7.5.1.A client

Here is the situatation.
DataStage server version is 7.1 on unix server and client version 7.5.1.A(upgraded from 7.1 to7.5).
Can we access the job(version 7.1) from Datastage client 7.5.1.A?.
Any idea except MCM would be great.

No. Sorry, but the MCM *is* your only answer here - other than having two PCs that is. What is your issue with it?

I have never come across this . but will like to know what is MCM...?

MCM is the Multiple Client Manager and ships with the latest products on the Client CDROM. If you have installed multiple clients in separate directories, you can use it to 'manage' which Client version is the active version.
You can only have one version active at any given time, but it will adjust the registry entries and even repoint your desktop icons to the proper executables for the active version. Works rather well once you get past the hurdle of getting it installed and getting the service it uses running. For some it installs without issues, for others it can be a bit of a PITA.
