ODBC.INI. ---odbc error

Hi ,
I have problem to access oracle stage,
i try to configure .ODBC.INI
but i think there SID wrong define for DSN,
so can some one tell me how should i find out the SID,
i know little about tnsping ,but i dont know exact syntax.

By 'Oracle stage' do you mean the OCI stages? They don't use ODBC, but leverage your existing Oracle client software. The process to configure DataStage for the Oracle OCI plug-ins is documented in both the pdf for the stage itself or the 'Plug-In Installation and Configuration Guide' pdf.

It follows that you need to configure your Oracle client software (files such as tnsnames.ora, in/below the $ORACLE_HOME directory). Your Oracle DBA ought to be able to assist. A running DataStage job is, as far as Oracle is concerned, just another client application.
