How to suppress a warning

Post by suresh.narasimha »

Hi Everyone,

my every job is generating a single warning message as " WARNING: DataStage has found more CPU's on your system (4) than your current license allows (2). Please contact Ascential Client Support or your Ascential Account Manager. ".

We have 4 CPU machine and our license is for 2 CPU, that's what even the warning say...

is it possible that to supress that warning ?

Can anyone help me out...

Thanks a lot...

You know this, but - you are in violation of your licensing agreement, hence the 'problem' you are trying to solve here. Two solutions:

1) Remove 2 CPUs.
2) Upgrade your license.

Plus (I guess) a third - get used to it. Only one of the first two will 'suppress' the warning.

Edited to add - are these truly 4 CPUs, either single or dual core? If not, if say they are two hyperthreaded CPUs which detect as 4, you may have a case for a waiver of some sort. But for that, you'd need to take it up with your Support provider and/or Sales.

I can't implement either of your solutions, rather i'll go to my work.

Many thanks for your answer Chulett.

We have Single Core 4 CPUs.
