DataStage will run on AIX. Obviously there are version dependencies, which you can ascertain from the IBM website.

Depending on where you are in the world you may or may not be able to purchase directly from IBM; in some locations they work through a reseller network.

It may also be that, with the advent of version 8.0, some IBM people will have decided not to sell server edition. However, this is not official IBM policy as far as I am aware. If you get this kind of response, post again, and escalate your complaint within IBM.

You give your vendor lots of $$$$, they provide the software, whether by download or on CD/DVD or other media.

That's how it works. Given that you are in a reseller arrangement, IBM will not talk to you. That's their rules - they seek to keep the reseller "in the loop" with regards to any problems you may be having.

Whence did you purchase DataStage? That's your vendor.

If you haven't (yet) purchased DataStage, your local IBM office should be able to indicate where you can do so.
