regarding command stage

regarding command stage

Hi Gurus,
My design is ODBC----->TRANSFORMER----->SEQUENTIAL FILE----->COMMAND STAGE.

its running fine till sequential file, iam getting problem in using command stage.
In the properties of command stage, iam specifying
command type as OS
I gave command "print", i also tried giving "ds-report projectname jobname".
iam selecting the option-Abort if the command fails.
Please help me am i going in the right way.

What is the version that you are using?
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'

There is no 'command' stage in Server jobs. :?

I was wondering if that appeared latest version (ver 8)and hence asked for the same.
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'

My datastage version 7.5.
Actually command_stage is a plugin stage.
Please Gurus help me.

Vijay,

There is no plugin stage called command_stage is Server.
Thats why these questions.
May it is the name given some other stage by somebody.
Double click on that stage ( You can find its name on the title bar) and let us know what stage it actually is.

Hi Gurus,
It is a custom stage.It falls under this category.
Can't i use this stage in server, bz when i used the operating system command " dir ", its working fine, i can see from the director.

please Gurus help me .

This week I am using version 7.5.1 on Solaris. There is no stage called "Command" in stage types branch of the Repository.

Please open the Stage Types branch of your Repository and tell us the version number and date/time modified of the Command stage that you are using.
