SAS stage

Hi ,

I have a job which needs to load into sas datasets. I found in documentation that we have SAS processing stage and also a SAS dataset stage. But I couldn't see it in my palette.

We have enterprise edition here. Are the SAS components a separte pack or do we have it in enterprise edition?

if we have in the edition .. can anyone say how to install them

SAS is a separate PACK, as far as I am aware.

Yep, its a separate plugin.

I looked up the Online Manual and found the SAS guide. Here is an excerpt

Required SAS Environment
SAS Licenses
Utilizing the SAS stage requires a license for SAS on each physical
node in the configuration file that runs the SAS stage.
Installation Requirements
DataStage supports SAS versions 612, 8.2, 9.1, and 9.1.3. At
installation time, DataStage determines which version of SAS is
installed by looking at the values in $Path environment variable. An
example directory path is
/usr/local/sas/sas612
Configuring Your System to Use the DataStage SAS
Stage
You must configure your system to use the DataStage SAS stage. For
more detailed information on configuration files and their contents
and syntax, see Ascential DataStage Install and Upgrade Guide.

Even with SAS PACK installed, I still couldn't get SAS Stage to work. Now, I was told that SAS server needs to be on the same server as DS server resides. It's so frustrated.
