Hi !

We are planning to migrate from 7.5.1 to 7.5.2.

Is the upgrade as simple as having a CD mounted and running the install script. (Installer detects earlier version of Datastage and prompts for upgrade) ?

Can the clients still use the same Datastage client that came along with 7.5.1 to connect to 7.5.2?

Are there any known issues that we should be aware of, while doing the upgrade?

and finally... Is it possible to export the job from a 7.5.2 to 7.5.1 ?

The v7.5.2 CD will surely contain the client installation utility. Install that as well. Now, check if the earlier version can connect to the new server. If it cannot, then use the new client...simple. In case you want both instances of the client to reside on your machine, you can use the client switcher that accompanies the CD.

Regarding importing from 7.5.2 to 7.5.1, I am not sure. However, why don't you give it a shot..since you already have both versions. Personally, I don't think there is much change between the two versions, and hence, you should be able to do it.
