When's the interview?

ITAG isn't a solution, it's an installation strategy. Read the Installation and Upgrade Guide for more information.

I dont have an interview. Its just that they are migrating from V5.2 to V7.5 since 5.2 doesn't interact with oracle 10g. They dont want to test all the jobs back in V7.5. So i was asked to find out about the ITAG related information.

My ignorance shows forth for all to see...

Howdy!

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is "ITAG"? I just want to prevent myself from entering the 'open mouth, move feet freely' mode of life

Hi,
It is installation and migration of Datastage. Check with "Installation and upgrade".pdf file you will know more in detail.

It's the technology that permits multiple versions of DataStage Engine to co-exist on one box. The "instance tag" referred to is the first three digits of shared memory keys, for example 0xadeca000 has an itag of "ade".

Not according to Google! It must be either the:

International Trepanation Advocacy Group (oh my) or the
Information Technology Association of Galway or the
Iowa Talented and Gifted Association or the
Information Technology Advisory Group or...

some travel agency in New Zealand.
