Configure VOC

Configure VOC

After installing Datastage server on solaris 2.9 when i used uv command it shows follwing message.

$./uv
This directory is not set up for DataStage.
Would you like to set it up (Y/N)?Y
0. Ideal compatibility
1. IN2 compatibility
2. Prime Information compatibility
3. PICK compatibility
4. PI/open compatibility
5. Microdata Reality compatibility


Which way do you wish to configure your VOC ?

Which option should I seelect ? Please guide.

If you running this from $DSHOME then it normally never gives this error.

From which directory you are using to run this command?

When you issue the uv command it will try to enter TCL in the current working directory. If the current directory is not a valid DataStage account then it will assume that you know what you are doing and attempt to create one. There are different flavors of accounts, and this is the question you are being asked. At this point in time please make sure to answer "N"o and to not create an account in the cwd.

i had given this command (uv) in $DSHOME/bin.
I gave Y(ES) by mistake.Now what will be the impact.

It will have created 6 files that you need to delete in that directory. The files/directories are:

&SAVEDLISTS&
D_VOC
VOC
D_&SAVEDLISTS&
D_VOCLIB
VOCLIB
