Links are missing in the DataStage Job

Post by Latha1919 »

Hi,

I modified a job by including a look up stage and passed the value to a routine in other transofrmer stage. But, when I restarted the machine, opened the same job, I am getting the following message:
Record J\1254\V0S24P22 in file DS_JOBOBJECTS does not exist
In this job, all the links are missing.

What could be the cause of this issue.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Latha

Sounds like the objects in which the design are stored were not saved properly. Without specialist knowledge this will be extremely difficult to repair; it may be impossible to repair.

Do you have the job design exported (best) or backed up (second best)?

Make sure the error prompting is particular to that single job and not to other job that exist in that project. If creeps to others, you are in soup.

First thing I'd worry about and check would be disk space where DataStage is installed.

Once I faced an error saying 'DS_JOBOBJECTS cannot be written' this is because I had no permissions to make changes in that project.

Yours may relate to some permissions problem or Datastage might have lost connection to unix as DS_JOBOBJECTS gives the path to home directory

It is worth to try REINDEXing once you get full access.
