Can't open sequence properties

Post by ACS01 »

We're using datastage server edition 7.5 on a windows platform. In the last week we've started having problems with opening the properties for a job within a sequence. If I right click I get the menu I can see the properties option but when I select it nothing happens. The same happens if I double click the job. It only happens on one or two PC's and not others. We are in the process of reinstalling the software but if anyones got any ideas I'd be grateful to hear them.

This is a known bug. Contact your support provider to provide a patch which should take care of things. Anyhow, try to reinstall DataStage client once before your proceed. The reinstallation should care of any issues if it didn't first time.

One of the reasons you face this problem is when you have installed Windows XP SP2 client machine. The patch name as far as I know is "dsclient_xpsp2". If this is not the reason, then there might be a different patch or so.
