Is it possible to run multiple sequences/jobs at a time. Does it affects the other sequence performance

By making the server to act simultenously, CPU usage is shared among the existing process, which might make the difference when compared to a dedicated server fo a single process.

In an SMP environment, you would want to run multiple jobs or multiple instances of jobs simultaneously to maximize throughput.
