Compatibility with Solaris 5.10

Post by mauherga »

Hi,

Does any one know if version 7.5.1.1 of DataStage is compatible with Sun Solaris 5.10?

I was looking (http://www.ascentialsoftware.com/eservi ... ion=DS-304) and found this:
7.5.1A Solaris 2.8 & 2.9 & 2.10 1 as of 04/12/05
7.5.1A-OEM Solaris 2.8 & 2.9 & 2.10 1 as of 05/27/05
7.5.1 Solaris 2.8 & 2.9 1 as of 02/24/05
so...
In Sun Solaris: version 2.10 = version 5.10 ??
In DataStage: version 7.5.1.1 <> version 7.5.1 ??
In DataStage: version 7.5.1.1 <> version 7.5.1A-OEM ??
In DataStage: version 7.5.1.1 <> version 7.5.1A ??

I'm confused

Thanks in advance.

SunOS was renamed Solaris. SunOS 5.10 is Solaris 2.10

In DataStage: version 7.5.1.1 <> version 7.5.1 ??
7.5.1.1 is 7.5.1 with fixes.

In DataStage: version 7.5.1.1 <> version 7.5.1A-OEM ??
OEM (other equipment manufacturer) means that it's supplied by someone else, such as PeopleSoft. But it's the same underneath to all intents and purposes. Mainly different badging.

In DataStage: version 7.5.1.1 <> version 7.5.1A ??
These are not the same, though there will be substantial overlap.

Pretty old post but now I am facing a problem in this. I am trying to run the jobs in Datastage Designer / Director (Server - Solaris 5.1) but the job does not intialize. I can see the perfromance Analysis or the status in th edirector. Any idea what is the issue?
