All of the advice here on recovering is specific to the releases that preceeded 8, I would imagine it changes significantly in the latest release. Have you involved your official Support provider yet?

Dude,
I would recommend simple Export and Import into new project.

Here are the steps.

1. Open DataStage Manager with old project.
2. use export menu and export all with DSX format give a path like (Desktop).
3. Above steps will produce a huge file with "filename.dsx" on the desktop.

Open DataStage Manager with new project.
1. use Import option and point the filename.dsx file.
2. After the process is complete then you will find you jobs.

If it is DataStage 8 then you have use Designer.

Try this. it is quite simple and as first step , if this fails then go for REBUILD index or go DS.TOOLS -> Rebuild
