If you open a CMD shell, then type in sh you will get a "UNIX" prompt if MKS is installed. This is the easiest test I know.
From a TCL prompt, you can use the SH -c "command" technique; if MKS is installed then the SH command is enabled, otherwise you will get a message indicating that it is not supported on your platform.
