I heard, DS repository is buit over 3rd party database like oracle in HAWK?
If that is the cant cant we 'hack' there too?
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'

Anything can be hacked, for goodness sake. They biggest question here is - why bother when the tool provides a simple mechanism to do it? Why take the chance of horking it up like we saw recently with one of our members...

As of 8 the repository information is stored in another database. I think it will be the same as it is now - the table information and relationships are available if you know where to look, but IBM will not publish that information.

Its more like, dont go to the extent of Hacking if, unless, absolutely required. I know hacking is fun, but fun can turn out to running around finding ways to fix a corrupted project. And ops, no backup. Wow, thats a big ops.
Also, i believe in the HAWK version, the client will have the choice of any database to be the underlying database.

It's a "Henry Ford" choice in the first release - "any database" means one of DB2, Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.

Historical Note
You could buy a Model T Ford in any color you like, so long as it was black.
