Honestly, we utilizes a third party solution for scheduler, and created a script calling dsjob to pull all log information and handle everything from there.

We do not rely on DataStage for any notifications. We rely on both an internally-designed Oracle setup, and a third party scheduler to handle the logs, failures, and what's not.
