The easiest way is on the General tab of your Administrator client.

If you're on the server there should be a hidden file called .dsrel (but this is not guaranteed). Or, at the TCL command prompt, use the following command

LIST.ITEM VOC 'RELLEVEL'

Help / About is certainly one of the correct places to go and will show you both the 'Client' version at the top and what Server version you are connected to at the bottom. Not sure why you are not "getting the info".
